Shapes a Million | Ages 5 – 7 | FULL

All lines create shapes! Wavy, straight or zig-zag, campers will delight in the exploration of shapes and learn about some of the artists (Klee, Mondrian and Miro) that incorporated them. Artists will create with mediums such as collage, watercolor, pastel and printmaking.
Totally Texture | Ages 5 – 7 | FULL
INSTRUCTOR: ERIN LATHAM | Meet the Instructor
Smooth, shiny, bumpy or soft? Campers will design and create 2D and 3D works of art by taking a close look at the world around them. A variety of techniques including painting and drawing will be studied and applied to assemble really cool sculptures full of texture and masterful paintings you will love to own.
Now and Then | Ages 8 – 10 | FULL
INSTRUCTOR: DARRA MAXWELL-EEK | Meet the Instructor
Campers will enjoy a week filled with exploring different mediums including paint, pastels and charcoal while gaining knowledge of the elements of art and principals of design. Campers will investigate the differences between 2D and 3D works of art by different artists throughout history.
Summer Sunsets and Cityscapes | Ages 8 – 10 | FULL
INSTRUCTOR: JULIE SIMON | Meet the Instructor
Basic drawing isn’t so hard when one thinks in terms of geometric shapes. Students will use this philosophy of focusing on basic shapes to help them draw a variety of items. They will explore different mediums including pastels and charcoal and be amazed as they create artwork you will want to frame.
Film Making and Video Production | Ages 11 – 13 | FULL
INSTRUCTOR: GEOFFREY SMITH | Meet the Instructor
Be the one behind the camera! In this exciting camp, students will make a short video and learn the pre-production, production and post-production skills of making a video. Students will learn how to work as a team, as video production is a collaborative art form that requires many people to work together towards a common goal. At the end of the week the students will screen their final video and take home a DVD of the project.
